Paramita Bhattacharyya is an Internationally acclaimed Indian 'Kathak' dance exponent with more than 30 years of experience in performing, teaching, and choreographing. She is a recipient of many National and International awards for dance including 'International Nritya Bhushan' (dance expert) 'National Nritya Golden Peacock', and 'Bharat Gaurav Samman' (The pride of India). She is recognized by 'The World Book of Records' for her commitment towards the Indian art form, teaching the students, and keeping the community engaged through the covid pandemic tough time. Her work has been recognized by various leading newspapers in India and abroad including LA Dance Chronicle, Voyage LA, and The Times of India. Paramita earned one of the highest degrees in dance education ‘Sangeet Prabhakar’ from the prominent performing art organization ‘Prayag Sangeet Samiti,’ Allahabad in India. She has appeared as a judge in many dance and music competitions in India and USA. Also, she is a jury member at the award committee of National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) in USA for two consecutive years. Paramita is a member of the International Dance Council (CID) of UNESCO. Besides, being a professional Kathak dance artist, she also holds two Masters degrees including Computer Engineering and Business Administration.
