Student Conference Scholarship

2023 Student Scholarship Guidelines - Applications Closed

NDEO is proud to offer annual scholarships to college students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in dance or dance education to help defray the costs associated with attending. Recipients receive complimentary conference registration, one-year complimentary (individual) NDEO membership, and a $300 check presented at conference.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Current NDEO members and non-members are encouraged to apply
  • Be currently enrolled as a full-time college student in a dance or dance education degree program pursuing an Associates, Bachelors, or Masters degrees. PhD/EdD Candidates not eligible for this scholarship.

Online Application Details

  • Basic contact and demographic information
  • A description of your current involvement in the field, professional goals, and reasons for requesting the scholarship.

Special consideration will be given to students who:

  • Show exceptional promise in dance or dance education through academic achievement, scholarly works, teaching in the field, etc.
  • Plan a future in dance education
  • Offer evidence of leadership in NDEO (student representation, student organization, state affiliates, NHSDA chapter, etc.)
  • Are an accepted NDEO Conference presenter
  • Did not receive a scholarship in prior years
