JoDE Call for Graduate Student Editor

JoDE is seeking one current graduate student to serve as Graduate Student Editor for two years. Key responsibilities for this position include: serving as a peer reviewer of articles, proofreading articles prior to publication, and working collaboratively with Executive Editorial Board members through meetings (virtual and possibly in person at NDEO conferences) and email communications to ensure the continued development of JoDE.

Please apply if you are a dancer and a graduate student in any discipline and you feel that your research and work are closely aligned to JoDE's aims and objectives listed above; applicants only need to be a graduate student for the first year of their term. In the application form, applicants will be asked to outline how their skill set aligns with the key responsibilities of the position. Applicants are also required to email a current CV or resume to Karen Schupp at karen.schupp@asu.edu prior to the application deadline. Applicants will be notified of the status of their application via email, and the Graduate Student Editor term begins in August 2022. JoDE is committed to justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and recognizes the range of demographics, dance forms, geographical locations, and educational practices that the journal aims to serve. As such, we welcome applications from individuals whose community, culture, or geographical location is historically underrepresented in dance education literature as well as practitioners with expertise in dance forms historically underrepresented in dance education literature.
