NDEO Affinity Group Proposal
NDEO seeks proposals from the membership to convene Affinity Groups. Affinity Groups will convene virtually. An NDEO staff member will follow up with you about scheduling preferences for a first meeting. Affinity Groups are positioned around groups of people who have experienced historical discrimination including, but not exclusive to: racist, sexist, xenophobic, or able-bodied stereotypes; systemic bias such as housing, access to healthcare, and education; and other forms of livelihood and employment discrimination and violence. Affinity Groups must respect the humanity of all people, regardless of their age, gender, gender expression, sex, national origin, documentation status, ability, color, class, source of income, religion, ethnicity, race, or sexuality. The purpose of the Affinity Groups is to come together to share experiences and work towards equal participation and rights in society. We request that you address how historical and systemic discrimination have impacted your Affinity Group in your application. Please complete this form to propose an Affinity Group. You may use as much or as little explanation as you see fit to best answer each question.
