Disability and Dance - Virtual Summit for Dance Educators - View the Schedule Here
The goal of this summit is to elevate the field of dance and disability and bring joy to all participants by creating pathways to dance performance and education careers for students and teachers with disabilities.
We invite a wide range of contributions from NDEO members and others in the field of dance to investigate with us the multiple contexts of dance and disability, and their intersections in disability artistry, disability culture, disability justice, community dance, dance for the stage, K-12, Higher Ed, studio dance, competitive dance worlds, and more.
What Is Included?
- 15+ live virtual classes for dance teachers to choose from within 5 different session blocks
- .5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) earned at each Virtual Summit
- Access to all recorded sessions for 1 month after the event
*All sessions will feature captioning provided by a CART specialist. Several sessions throughout the day will also feature ASL interpretation (if you need ASL please be sure to note that on your registration by March 15, 2024). All ASL/CC will be noted on the final schedule. If you have any other specific access needs, please note this on your registration.*
