An NDEO Special Topic Conference in partnership with the International Somatic Movement Education & Therapy Association (ISMETA)
The conference provides a forum to experience and explore the intersections of Somatic Movement and Dance Education. How are dance and somatic educators collaborating to innovate practice and enhance learning in our fields? This dynamic partnership between two pioneering, internationally recognized organizations will deepen our common roots and ignite our imaginations. Somatic movement sessions, panel discussions, current research presentations, and curriculum design workshops are encouraged. Special attention will be given to experiential practices that inspire whole person wellness and artistic play.
Registration Fees
Early Bird Registration Rates - Register and pay by May 1, 2024!
- NDEO/ISMETA Member Fee: $320
Late Registration Rates (starting 5/2/24)
- NDEO/ISMETA Member Fee: $345
Student Registration Rate
- NDEO/ISMETA Undergraduate and Graduate Student Member Fee: $175
Registration fee includes a reception on July 19. Please indicate dietary needs in your registration.

Friday, July 19:
- 8 am - 5 pm sessions
- Evening reception
Saturday, July 20:
- 10 am - 6 pm sessions
Sunday, July 21:
- 10 am - 4 pm sessions
Cancellation & Refund Policy
No refunds after 6/19/24.
- 90% refund through 5/19/24
- 75% refund through 6/19/24
- After 6/19/24, no refunds, but registrations may be transferred to another individual (see below for fees). Please note that the individual receiving the transferred registration must have an NDEO or ISMETA membership to receive a member registration rate and an NDEO or ISMETA Student membership to receive a student registration rate. NDEO and ISMETA memberships are not transferrable.
Registration Transfers
Transferring registration from one individual to another after payment incurs the following fees. Email conference@ndeo.org to request a transfer. No transfers after 7/12/24.

- $50 fee 6/20/24 - 7/12/24
- No transfers after 7/12/24.
