Call for Student Volunteers

Application Deadline: September 1, 2019
APPLY NOW

NDEO is pleased to offer a limited number of complimentary conference registration to student volunteers. Student volunteers are selected through a competitive application process and work 10-12 hours in 2 to 3-hours shifts during conference. In return, they are welcome to attend conference sessions and events for free. Volunteer duties include: checking in conference attendees and handing out registration materials; answering general attendee questions about event, directions, etc.; helping attendees download and use the conference app; and assisting with the Student Sharing Performance tech and shepherding student performers.

In order to volunteer, you must be a current NDEO student member (with membership current through conference dates) and available to volunteer for at least two days of conference. All student volunteers must have a professor sponsoring them for this volunteer opportunity, attesting to the volunteer's reliability and ability to successfully complete conference volunteer duties. NDEO may contact the professor sponsor for more information regarding the student. Preference is given to volunteers whose professor sponsor is a current NDEO member and is attending NDEO Conference.

What to Expect at Conference

Held annually in the fall, a typical NDEO National Conference includes three full days of over 250 workshops, master classes, panel and paper presentations, social events and performances. A full day of pre-conference intensives precedes the official start of conference. The full conference schedule is generally released online over the summer before that year's conference.
