This webinar will cover virtual tap class lesson planning, differentiation of teaching, Zoom features that enhance tap dance education, and how virtual learning can be an asset in learning about tap dance history.

Nicole Ohr is a professional tap dancer/choreographer/teacher based in NYC. She's had the opportunity of performing with choreographers such as Felipe Galganni, Jared Grimes, Max Pollak, and Tamii Sakurai, and has guest performed with Sean Fielder’s Boston Tap Company. She was the Tap Dance Captain of Undertoe Dance Project and a member of Germaine Salsberg’s Les Femmes. Currently, Nicole is Artistic Director of Cole Collective and has presented her choreography in various dance festivals in NYC. She is also the producer of Dance Astoria, a dance festival held annually in Astoria, Queens at the Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden. As a dance educator, Nicole teaches all ages and various styles of dance. She is a NYS K-12 Certified Dance Educator, and an ATDF Certified Tap Teacher (levels 1 and 2), teaching throughout the tri-state area, at studios and organizations such as the American Tap Dance Foundation, Ballet Hispanico, and Steps On Broadway. She is a graduate of the MA program for Dance Education at Hunter College and recently presented her studies on how to teach Tap Dance through using Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences at NYSDEA.
