Practical, Challenging, and Hands-On

The National Dance Education Organization provides interns with practical and challenging experiences that are designed to offer meaningful learning experiences for young professionals interested in careers in dance education, research, administration, legislature and national advocacy, conference program planning, marketing, technology, and publications/CD/video development.

Internships are primarily designed for students in undergraduate and graduate school and usually provide 2-6 semester credits based on a 20-40 hour per week program. Intern programs are designed to meet the needs and goals of the individual student built in context with work at the national level in dance arts education. Internships are available year round.

Interns work side-by-side with the Executive Director, staff, and esteemed professions partnering with NDEO on projects that embrace the national agenda in dance eduction which usually involve U.S. federal and state legislatures and departments of education working toward systemic reform in arts education.
