Centers for Research in Dance Education
The Centers for Research in Dance Education, Temple University and New York University, are built in partnership with the National Dance Education Organization. The centers are established to facilitate research for dancers, researchers, artists and educators teaching in diverse environments- K-12, higher education, professional schools of dance, and community outreach programs.
The NDEO/Temple University Center for Research in Dance Education serves as a "think tank" for the field. It holds seminars and discussions on research topics and field terminology (research methods, techniques, and practice) to help provide direction for field research.
The NDEO/New York University Center for Research in Dance Education strengthens research application. The NDEO/NYU center works with the coordinator of the Dance Education Literature and Research descriptive index to add new literature and research to the DELRdi, integrate the DELRdi into course work and curriculum, and build city, state and national dance education communities in research.
For more information on the Centers for Research in Dance Education, please contact the NDEO office at 301-585-2880.
