Author Last Post

Due to the high number of applicants for the NDEO Artistic Merit, Leadership and Academic Achievement Award for high school NHSDA students, NDEO has extended the deadline for adjudicator applications to February 28, 2018

Assist the Board and Staff of NDEO by sitting on the NHSDA Award Adjudication Committee for the NDEO Artistic Merit, Leadership and Academic Achievement Award for high school students (aka the NHSDA Award). This prestigious award will grant one student a $1,000 scholarship and the opportunity to attend the National Conference to be recognized for their achievement in front of the general membership. To apply for this award students will submit four short essays, a three minute video of original choreography, a letter of recommendation, and his or her resume. Learn more about the award at

NDEO Members interested in volunteering for the Adjudication Committee should be able to commit 10-15 hours during March 2018 to independently review applications. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in NDEO whether you have recently joined or have been an active member for many years.

If you are interested in this opportunity please take two minutes to fill out the following survey to determine eligibility and express interest: NHSDA Award Adjudicator Application. Please do not apply if you are teaching or mentoring students who may apply for the award or have any other conflict of interest. Applications will be accepted through February 28. There are a limited number of Adjudication Committee spots and they will be distributed to eligible and interested members by March 2. Past NHSDA Award Adjudicators may apply again this year, however, preference will be given to first time adjudicators.
