Arts for Learning: NDEO developed in partnership with Arts for Learning the dance NEXUS site. Visit the site to learn about standards curriculum and assessments with artists in schools programs. Featured are Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, Children's Dance Theater (creative dance), Pilobolus and Parkway School District, and Ballet Memphis with headstart programs.

American Alliance for Theatre and Education (AATE): The American Alliance for Theatre and Education brings together artists, educators, researchers and scholars with each other by disseminating quality practices in theatre and theatre education.

American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE): AACTE's mission is to ensure "Competent and Caring Eductors for all Children and Youth".

American Education Research Association (AERA): "The American Educational Research Association is concerned with improving the educational process by encouraging scholarly inquiry related to education and by promoting the dissemination and practical application of research results."

Americans for the Arts: "Americans for the Arts is the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America. With a 40-year record of service, we are dedicated to representing and serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts."

A+ Schools Network: The A+ Schools Program is dedicated to teaching and learning with the belief that the arts can play a key role in children's learning.

ARTSEDGE: "ARTSEDGE - The National Arts and Education Network - supports the placement of the arts at the center of the curriculum and advocates creative use of technology to enhance the K-12 educational experience. ARTSEDGE empowers educators to teach in, through, and about the arts by providing the tools to develop interdisiplinary curricula that fully integrate the arts with other academic subjects."

Association for Advancement of Arts Education (AAAE): The Association for the Advancement of Arts Education develops professional development opportunities for educators.

Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development: With a membership base of educators in all grade levels and subjects, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development "forges covenants in teaching and learning for the success of all learners."

Chicago Arts Partnership in Education (CAPE): "The mission of the CAPE is to serve students by advancing the role of the arts in K-12 public education. CAPE catalyzes and supports school improvement through the creation of partnerships that integrate the arts into the overall educational program of Chicago public schools."

Congress on Research in Dance (CORD): CORD is a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging research in dance and related fields, foster the exchange of ideas, resources, and methodology, through publication, international and regional conferences, and workshops, and promoting the accessibility of research materials.

Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO): "The Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) is a bipartisan, nationwide, nonprofit organization of public officials who head departments of elementary and secondary education in the states, the District of Columbia, the Department of Defense Education Activity, and five U.S. extra-state jurisdictions. CCSSO provides leadership, advocacy, and technical assistance on major educational issues. The Council seeks member consensus on major educational issues and expresses their views to civic and professional organizations, federal agencies, Congress, and the public."

Educational Research Service (ERS): Educational Research Service is dedicated to improving children/youth education by providing educators reliable research.

Educational Theatre Association (EdTA): EdTA offers a tange of services and support for their students and professionals.

Education Trust: The Education Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated the high academic achievement of all students at all levels.

Grantmakers in the Arts (GIA): GIA is one of the few national organizations dedicated to philanthropy in arts and culture.

Harvard Project Zero: Understanding and improving learning and creativity in the arts, as well as in scientific disciplines is the mission of Project Zero.

International Council of Fine Arts Deans: ICFAD addresses issues, provides leadership, and offers forums for information exchange in arts education.

John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Education and Outreach: The Kennedy Center has vast education programs for young people, teachers, and families.

Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network (KCAAEN): The Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network supports policies, practices and partnerships that weave the arts into American culture.

Lincoln Center Institute for the Arts in Education: This educational and arts center teachers educators to experientially explore arts with their students.

MENC-The National Association for Music Education: MENC's mission is to advance music education by encouraging the study and the making of music.

National Art Education Association (NAEA): NAEA promotes art education through Professional Development, Service, Advancement of Knowledge, and Leadership.

National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA): NASAA's promotes a meaningful role for arts for individuals, families and communities.

National Assessment Governing Board (NAGB): This congressionaly created governing board set policy for the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), or "The Nation's Report Card."

National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP): NAEP is a report of an arts assessment administered to approximately 6,480 students at grade 8 in the nation, measuring their knowledge and skills in music, theatre, and visual arts.

National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC): The NAEYC, an organization of early childhood educators and others, promotes improvement in the quality of programs for children through third grade.

National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP): NAESP leads the advocacy and support for elementary and middle level principals and other education leaders in their commitment to all children.

National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP): The organization promotes excellence in school leadership.

National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE): The principal objectives of NASBE include "strengthening state leadership in educational policymaking; promoting excellence in the education of all students; advocating equality of access to educational opportunity; and assuring continued citizen support for public education."

National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS): NBPTS promotes the upholding of high standards for professional performance in the teaching profession.

National Center for Education Statistics (NCES): As a federal agency, NCES collects and analyzes data that are related to education in the United States and other nations.

National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL): This bipartisan organization is dedicated to aiding the nation's lawmakers.

National Education Association (NEA): NEA is America's oldest and largest organization committed to advancing public education.

National Endowment for the Arts (NEA): The National Endowment for the Arts advocates human creativity, supports community spirit, and fosters the excellence of U.S. artistic accomplishments.

National Registry of Dance Educators (NRDE): The NRDE recognizes master teachers as Registered Dance Educators. NRDE provides support and services to members who teach dance in private studios and schools so they may provide their students and community with the highest quality programs and training abailable in dance education.

President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities (PCAH): The President's Committee encourages private sector support of the arts and humanities and public appreciation for the arts through projects and publications.

Society of Dance History Scholars (SDHS): SDHS is a non-profit organization promoting study, research, discussion, performance, and publication in dance history and related fields.

US Department of Education: This Congressionaly established organization ensures equal access to education and promotes excellence in the field.

VSA arts: VSA arts, a non-profit organization, "is creating a society where poeple with disabilities can learn through, participate in, and enjoy the arts."

Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning through the Arts: "Founded in 1981, the Institute provides arts-in-education services for children ages 3-5 and their teachers and families through the disciplines of drama, music and movement. Regional Programs of the Institute are located throughout the country."
